Check Engine Light Cruise Control Flashing Subaru Legacy
Check Engine Light Cruise Control Flashing Subaru Legacy. My dad picked it up this afternoon and said that the check engine light was on and that the cruise control light was too. Concluding on flash check engine light.

The car seemed to be driving fine but cruise would not engage. When this happens, the cruise control light will start flashing as the vehicle will disable this function automatically. Oil temp light, engine check, and cruise control flashing light come and go simultaneously.
In Some Cases, The Subaru Check Engine Light Is Accompanied By A Flashing Cruise Control Or Vehicle Dynamics Control Light.
This keeps you from using the cruise control when there is a problem. I have a subaru impreza 2005. This morning while driving to work on the freeway my check engine, traction, cruise control, and brake lights appeared on the dash.
All Lights Were Cleared After 10 Or So Miles.
Check engine light came on (solid, not blinking) cruise control light started blinking cruise control no longer works question = wait until bringing car in for regularly scheduled maintenance, or bring in asap? I did and this did not correct the problem. I have a 2009 legacy that just now has the cruise light flashing, check engine light, and the traction control light on.
I Have Subaru Outback 2.5L, Year 2009.
(i.e., could something else be on the verge of going wrong?) details, a la car talk: Last week, the brake, traction control, cruise, and check engine lights all came on my dash. The traction control may also be disabled.
It Simply Means That They Are Disabled Due To The Engine Problem.
When this happens, the cruise control light will start flashing as the vehicle will disable this function automatically. Check engine light is on and cruise control light is blinking on 2006 outback; Concluding on flash check engine light.
I Drove It To A Local Mechanic Who Checked The Battery And Alternator And Reset The Computer.
The car seemed to be driving fine but cruise would not engage. The ecu throws the car into limp mode to protect itself from further/possible damage. It sometimes idels roughly, but otherwise appears to be running fine.
