Went to the dealer today and they said the car had stored a load of errors related to the left bank vanos indicating cam timing errors, he said these can't have been *reel* errors as the engine would. Ihave a 2005 x5(march) and it lost power yesterday and i took it to the bmw dealer on the isle of man and found out that the turbo had broken.it only has done 38000 miles on the clock ,its out of warranty. I recently did some work on the turbos and vanos which are behind the air coolers.
